05 · Methodology

No mystery scores. No promises about AI algorithms.

Technical readiness, not AI mentions
The scanner checks whether AI agents can access your site’s information, interpret the offer and identify the available actions. It does not measure how often your company is mentioned or recommended in AI answers: that is the separate role of AI Visibility Monitor.
Inspection, not simulation
Today’s checks are rules applied to what can be observed publicly; we do not run an AI agent on your site. Testing agent behaviour is a separate module, in development.
Observable signals
We only check what can be observed publicly: robots.txt, sitemap, structured data, content, forms.
Read-only
The scanner only reads. It does not submit forms or run commercial actions on the site. Action simulation, when it exists, will run only on verified domains.
Respects robots.txt
If the site does not allow our crawler, the affected checks are marked N/A.
Evidence
Each result comes, where possible, with the concrete evidence found on the site.

What is AI agent readiness?

AI agent readiness describes how accessible, understandable and usable a website's information and available actions are for AI agents.

What does the free checker analyse?

It runs 27 technical checks across 6 layers, covering information discovery, business identity, product information, actions, agent usability and trust signals.

Does this test run a real AI agent?

No. The scanner performs technical inspections of publicly observable signals. Testing real agent behaviour is a separate capability under development.

Does a high score guarantee visibility in ChatGPT?

No. Technical readiness does not guarantee that an AI assistant will mention, recommend or successfully interact with your website.
